Top Ten Tuesday: New-To-Me Favorite Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

Top Ten New-To-Me Favorite Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015 is the topic this week. I don't have ten authors to list this week, because I didn't really read that many new authors this year, at least not authors I count as new favorites.

George R. R. Martin
This may be a surprise to some of you, but Sarah J. Maas is at the top of this list. I didn't discover Sarah until this year, though I did read Throne of Glass back in January. I've read all of her books this year, and she is definitely one of my favorites. And she's s sweet and funny as well!

Ellen Marie Wiseman is the second person on this list, though I've only read one books by her, and I actually read it in November. Coal River by her was so amazing, I automatically wanted to read all of her other books, and therefore she has earned her spot on this list.

Even though I've read half of A Game of Thrones in 2012, I'm going to mention George R. R Martin on this list. This year, I read the first four books in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, and I have the fifth one, ready to be read. He's writing style is so amazing, and everything that happens in the books are so thoroughly thought through, it's unbelievable.

Renee Ahdieh is the fourth author on this list, even though I've only read The Wrath and the Dawn. I'm not completely sure if she's a favourite yet, but she has the potential.

I absolutely loved Graceling by Kristin Cashore, and that secured her spot on this list. Though I've only read one of her books, I am currently reading Fire by her as well, and it's so great so far.

Last, but not least, we have Victoria Schwab. I read The Archived duology this year and I loved it. A Darker Shade of Magic is high on my wishlist because of them!

  2. I struggled with Graceling by Kristin Cashore! I know I am in the minority though. And I have heard the George RR Martin books are fantastic! I think I am the only person who hasn't read a Sarah J Maas book!My TTT
